What is the WeFi Exchange?

WeFi Exchange is the conversion layer built into WeFi's Onchain Banking Account. It lets you hold any of 7,000+ cryptocurrencies and spend or transfer them without touching a trading platform, setting limit orders, or waiting for order books to fill. Unlike a CEX or DEX, no manual swap step exists. When you pay with the WeFi Card or send a transfer, the conversion runs as part of the transaction — you see one confirmation, not three. The old flow was exchange, withdraw, spend. WeFi's approach collapses those into one event: hold crypto, spend fiat, nothing in between. That's what WeFi calls the Zero Exchange Transaction.

Core mechanic

Zero Exchange Transaction explained

On a regular crypto exchange, converting to fiat means three steps: swap on the platform, withdraw to your bank, then spend. Each step adds delay, fees, and another interface to manage. WeFi's Zero Exchange Transaction skips all of that. When you pay with the WeFi Card or send a transfer, the account identifies your target currency, runs the conversion on WeChain, and settles — one event, start to finish. You hold BTC, ETH, USDT, or any of 7,000+ supported assets. You spend in local currency. The conversion happens between those two moments and you never see it.

1

Hold

Keep any of 7,000+ crypto assets in your Onchain Banking Account. No upfront conversion needed.

2

Initiate

Pay with the WeFi Card or send a transfer. Pick the destination currency or payment amount.

3

Convert

The account runs the asset conversion on WeChain. No separate exchange step, no second confirmation.

4

Settle

Transaction settles on-chain. The recipient gets the target currency. WeChain records the event.

What the WeFi Exchange includes

7,000+ Supported Assets

Hold Bitcoin, Ethereum, stablecoins, and thousands of other tokens in one account. No juggling separate wallets or exchange accounts per asset.

Unified Fiat and Crypto Balance

Your Onchain Banking Account holds fiat and crypto at the same time. Both are native balance types. No wrapper accounts, no parallel wallets.

Card-Connected Crypto Swap

The WeFi Card draws from your account balance directly. Pay in USD at a merchant and the account swaps your held crypto in real time. No manual step beforehand.

On-Chain Settlement

Conversions settle on WeChain (BSC in the interim). Every event creates a verifiable on-chain record — not an entry in a private corporate ledger.

No Order Books

WeFi Exchange has no order book, no bid-ask spread, and no positions to manage. It's a conversion layer inside an account, not a trading market.

Single-Step Execution

Conversion and settlement run in one transaction on WeChain. You initiate one action. The account resolves the asset and settles.

How WeFi Exchange fits the deobanking ecosystem

The exchange layer isn't a separate tab you open. It's what makes the rest of WeFi work without friction. The WeFi Card needs to accept whatever crypto you're holding and convert it at the point of sale. The Onchain Banking Account needs to move value across asset types without routing you to a third-party exchange first. The Decentralized Credit System uses your account balances as collateral, which only works if those balances are accessible without a separate conversion step. Remove the exchange layer and every other product gets slower and more manual. The Zero Exchange Transaction is what makes a deobank feel different from a crypto wallet with a card attached.

FAQ

Common questions about WeFi Exchange

No. It's a conversion layer inside the Onchain Banking Account. No order book, no trading pairs, no positions. When you spend or transfer, the account converts the asset for you. That's it.
Yes, but it's not a separate screen. Swap is built into the account through the Zero Exchange Transaction mechanic. When you pay or transfer, the account converts your crypto automatically. WeFi doesn't run a standalone swap platform.
It's WeFi's name for how conversion works inside the account. You hold a crypto asset, you initiate a payment or transfer, and the account handles the conversion as part of the same event. No separate swap step, no extra confirmation.
WeFi's Onchain Banking Account supports 7,000+ cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, USDC, and thousands of others. The full list is available in the WeFi app.
WeFi doesn't publish a standalone conversion fee. Card transactions cost 1.5% with Energy or 3% without. For internal transfers and asset conversions, check the current fee schedule in the WeFi app.
A CEX requires its own account, a withdrawal step, and usually a bank transfer before you can spend converted funds. WeFi's conversion is built into the same account you use for your card and transfers. You never leave the account to execute a swap.
WeFi offers both custodial and non-custodial (MPC) modes for the Onchain Banking Account. In non-custodial mode, you hold your own keys via MPC wallet. The exchange layer works inside whichever custody model you choose.
